Our Lore
Vanyr draws its name from the ancient Sanskrit word “Van”—the forest, where life first learned the art of nourishment.
In a time long before abundance was assured, we, the children of the forests lived in harmony with nature’s rhythms. Fruits ripened, were gathered, and consumed in their season. Yet nature was never constant. Droughts followed harvests, calamities followed calm, and hunger became a recurring fate.
The Gods, guardians of life, could not endure the suffering of their own creation. Descending to the earth, they imparted to humanity a sacred wisdom, the art of preservation.
Under the blessings of Surya, the eternal source of light and life, humans learned to slow time itself. Fruits were gently sun-baked, transformed not by force but by patience. With restraint and reverence—using little more than warmth, air, and occasionally a touch of salt or sugar, this knowledge evolved into mastery.
An art was born where nothing was wasted, where nourishment endured beyond seasons.
At Vanyr, we honour this ancient legacy. Every fruit we curate carries the wisdom of the forest, the patience of the sun, and the intention to nourish—purely and thoughtfully.
From the forest to your table, we preserve not just food, but time itself.
